bathroom & shower room flooring

choosing a bathroom floor

Bathrooms and shower rooms are frequently used, important areas in any home.  It is essential that the correct product is chosen to ensure long life, safety and comfort underfoot, as well as an aesthetic appearance that will suit the decor of your home.

Due to the wet and steamy environment a bathroom creates, many of the usual options for flooring, such as carpet, wood and some types of laminte don't cope well and can quickly become permanently damaged.

Regular splashes of water and a damp environment can lead to real wood warping or swelling, the layers that make up laminate flooring can become unattached and 'de-laminate' leading to unrepairable damage.  Although soft and warm underfoot, carpet can rot and smell if it gets too damp and can be very diffiult to keep clean in a bathroom setting.
